ISRO LAUNCHING IT'S 51ST MISSION

PSLV C-49

Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) is the workhorse of Indian Space Research Organization(ISRO). These launches are done with confidently.  

First launch of PSLV was took place on September 20, 1993. This is perfect launch from Satish Dhawan Space Centre.  The demand is more for this PSLV launch.

This is a 4 stage rocket.



Ist and 3rd stage, consists of  Hydroxyl Terminated Polyurethane Blend (HTPB). Strap on motors are as needed in Ist stage. Strap on motors 

2nd stage, Vikas UDMH(Unsymetrical Dimethyl Hydrazine)+ N2O4(Nitrogen tetraxide), Viking 4A engine based form France. Viking 4A engine is the collaboration of India and France. Now these Vikas engines are being designed by our own technology at IPRC (ISRO Propulsion Complex, Mahendragiri)

4th stage, PS4 engine with MMH (Mono Methyl Hydrogen)and MON(Mixed Oxides of Nitrates)

These 4 stages arranged as Solid, Liquid, Solid and Liquid.  The success rate of PSLV is 94%.

PSLV C-37:  In this launch total 104 satellites are sent  in one go and it is world record.

The count down started for the launching of PSLV C-49 today i.e., 7th November 2020, PSLV C-49 RISAT-2BR2/EOS-01 as primary satellite with  9  International Customer satesllites fromSatish Dhawan Space Centre(SDSC), SHAR, Sriharikta. The launch is tentatively scheduled at 15:02 hrs subject to weather conditions.

This PSLV C-49 is the 51st mission in this category.

ES-01 is an Earch Observation Satellite intended for  applications in Agriculture, Forestry and Disaster management support.

The customer satellites are being launched under commercial agreement with New Space India Limited (NSIL), Department of Space.
